In the past, in order for you to request a global or categorical update of user contact information, you had to send these users invitations for events. Or, you could create an imaginary event (ie. Update Contact Info Event) and invite everyone to RSVP while checking their address information (Company, Local/Hotel, Home, Other) and setting the active address.

Figure 1.

Lyrek now provides an easier and more intuitive way of requesting contacts update their address information. Simply create a new mailing (Click “Mailings” from the main menu) and enter your message to the contacts. Check the new option at the bottom of the mailing that says “Include request to update contact information” and a link will automatically be provided at the bottom of each email (Figure 1) for the user to browse the information you have on file and update where necessary. Clicking the link produces a page which includes your company’s logo (which is saved in the Preferences --> Default User Information page) and the bottom functions in the same manner as the Update Information section of Event Invitation RSVP pages (Figure 2). As always, contacts will not be able to update general contact information, as this information is tied to all contacts that share the same companies, but can update their direct information (email address, direct phone, direct fax, etc.).

Figure 2.

You can send this mailing to specific Contact Groups or to your entire database. As always, you can preview your mailing by sending a test to yourself before sending the mailing to recipients. If you have any questions, submit a support ticket and a technician can help you through this new process.
